Jesus expressed: “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light to your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light; but when your eye is unhealthy, your body is full of darkness. Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness.”
What you allow yourself to see and what you should see matter. The eye is the gateway of images, the channel that directly conveys to the brain what you choose to focus on.
There are things we may see by chance and quickly discard. However, most of the time, you will have to choose what you let enter through your eyes into your mind.
A healthy eye is disciplined to focus on everything that positively nourishes the mind. Let’s also remember that everything entering the mind will become a desire of the heart.
Jesus’ advice is that, if you’re already a believer, honestly evaluate whether you live in radiant light or if there are still dark corners where you don’t let the Lord’s light in.
Remember: The secret is in the eyes. Don’t allow yourself to see what darkens. Don’t fall into the pride of feeling strong and letting in what will harm your mind and heart.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.
Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”
— Luke 11:34-36
