When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem, He entered the temple, and after looking around at everything, He left because it was already late.
But the next day, He returned and began driving out those who were buying and selling animals for sacrifices, saying: “My temple will be called a house of prayer, but you have turned it into a den of thieves.”
Notice that Jesus entered the temple a day earlier, observed, and said nothing; He simply left. We might have thought He agreed with everything.
However, the next day, He drove out the merchants and brought order to the house of God.
Sometimes, the Lord takes time to observe our lives. His silence does not approve of what we do; He is merely giving us the opportunity to realize that we no longer have His support. He often does this with individuals and also with institutions.
The times of Jesus’ silence are inaudible alarms that call us to review, redirect, and even renounce certain practices or decisions that lead us away from His perfect will.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.”
— Mark 11:11
