While Jesus was with His disciples, He told them: “Truly I tell you, anyone who has left home or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for My sake and for the gospel will receive a hundred times as much in this present age, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.”
Undoubtedly, following Jesus means leaving everything behind for something greater. When we talk about leaving everything, we do not mean abandoning our loved ones or vocational pursuits. Both are entrusted to us by God.
We are referring to placing everything in its rightful place. Jesus and His teachings must occupy the first place. Then you will see how everything realigns and gains impressive harmony.
Even though persecution is also mentioned, initially in the forms of criticism and ridicule, family bonds will strengthen, your friendships will become more meaningful, God’s provision will never be lacking, and you will enjoy eternal life.
Leaving everything behind means letting go of whatever occupies the first place, so that God can reorder it in the correct position. It does not always mean losing it; it could mean enjoying it in the proper order, having peace with God.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.”
