What is more spectacular, healing or salvation? Where do the spotlights shine the brightest?
Jesus told His disciples, “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy; you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.
But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.”
The disciples had returned excited from their journey. Jesus had given them authority to pray for the sick, free the captives, and announce the Kingdom of God.
Obviously, the first two actions elicited applause from the people. The public did not celebrate when someone gave their life to Christ, and this caused a disorder of priorities among the disciples.
The same thing happens today. On earth, there will always be this confusion, although in heaven everything is clear: The Scriptures show us that there is a celebration in heaven when a sinner repents. There is no celebration there for a healing or a deliverance.
In heaven, the eternal is paramount: salvation; on earth, the temporary is more exciting: healing and deliverance.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
— Luke 10:19-20
