A man with leprosy approached, knelt before Jesus, and begged him to heal him. “If you want to, you can heal me and make me clean,” he exclaimed.
Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched him. “I do want to,” he said. “Be healed.” Instantly, the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.
Then Jesus sent him away with a warning: “Don’t tell anyone about this.”
There are great lessons to be found in this passage: Notice the humility of this man, as he didn’t demand Jesus to heal him but rather placed his illness under God’s sovereign will.
This greatly pleased Jesus because even in sickness, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble” (James 4:6).
Of course, Jesus granted his request, not only healing him but also touching his leprous body to fully identify with his suffering.
He warned him not to tell anyone, for the Savior never used healing as a demonstration of power but rather as an act of profound compassion.
Let’s summarize: 1. God is not obligated to heal anyone; we can only plead with Him in humility. 2. The Lord actively accompanies us during illnesses. 3. We should never make a spectacle of healing. God’s mercy often works quietly and peacefully.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.”
