Serving the Lord is something wonderful. We do it with deep gratitude, for He has turned our lament into an inexplicable inner joy.
The key is to maintain our intimate communion with God while not neglecting to see and attend to a world in need of love.
Jesus explained it with these words: “Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me.”
In this way, He made it clear that serving others is very important, but it loses its effectiveness and purpose if we neglect our intimate and personal relationship with Jesus.
Conversely, a relationship with God alone, without looking at the pain of others, can border on spiritual vanity and selfishness.
Jesus added: “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing.”
Let’s go to the source of living water, to the presence of God; let’s fill our pitchers with this indispensable resource, and pour it onto the desert sands of this world.
It’s not about fulfilling programs; it’s about bearing fruit that lasts.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”
— John 15:4
