Jesus told the following story: “A man prepared a great feast and sent out many invitations. When the banquet was ready, he sent his servant to bring the guests, but they all began to make excuses referring to their prosperous lives.
The master became furious and said to his servant: “Go quickly to the streets and alleys of the city and invite the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame. Whoever you find, urge them to come so that the house may be full.”
This story speaks to us of the great day of celebration that God will have with all his children in heaven. The invitation is for everyone, without exception. The guest list began with the people of Israel, but they refused to attend the banquet by denying Jesus Christ as the Messiah.
Continuing on the list are all the inhabitants of the world, from every nationality and language. Each one, by name, will have the opportunity to decide whether or not to attend the grand celebration. There are no restrictions: Rich and poor, healthy and sick, will have their place at the Lord’s table.
The only requirement for entry will be to have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. God’s command is given to all his servants: “Whoever you find, urge them to come so that the house may be full.”

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Then the master told his servant, “Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.”
— Luke 14:23
