Jesus warned his disciples, “If anyone tells you, “Look, here is the Messiah!” or “There he is!” do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”
Throughout history after Christ, many men have claimed to be the Messiah and have claimed to be the reincarnation of Jesus.
However, they have only sought to imitate him in his miracles and wonders, under dark powers. They do not teach to honor God or to obey his words.
It is relatively easy to distinguish them: They present prodigious miracles, whether true or not, but they cannot imitate the character of Christ because they have not experienced the new birth, nor they are filled with the Holy Spirit of God.
Like false Christs, false Christian leaders boast of notable gifts and talents, hiding the absence of the fruit of a character regenerated by God. They are also easy to distinguish: Press the right button and an uncompromising temperament, a colossal ego, and a desperate defense of their personal image will appear.
Both false Christs and false Christian leaders claim the attention and admiration of all. They cannot share that glory with God.
Jesus ended by saying, “Watch out for them. I have warned you in advance.”

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“At that time if anyone says to you, “Look, here is the Messiah!” or, “There he is!” do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time.”
— Matthew 24:23-25
