Today, much emphasis is placed on the strength of character to succeed. Independence and self-sufficiency are promoted as flags of freedom.
On the contrary, Jesus leads us to a different attitude when he says, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles themselves like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
The humility and faith of a child are required not only to enter the kingdom of heaven but also to remain in this world under God’s protection.
A child’s dependence and absolute trust in their father vividly illustrate the lifestyle the Lord desires for His children.
Indeed, this clashes violently with the philosophy of this world, which tends to live autonomously, oblivious to any authority, be it God, parents, or family.
Therefore, when we enter the Christian life, we must shake off the traces brought by self-sufficiency, hardness of heart, and spiritual orphanhood.
Now we are children of God; let us become like little children again. Let us learn to laugh, run, and embrace our Heavenly Father, aware of His gaze and loving protection.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
