What is the distance between God and us? We all know He is everywhere, but within our hearts, we can sense how close or far we are from the Lord.
Once, Jesus went to visit a Roman officer whose servant was sick and near death.
As Jesus approached, the officer sent word to the Savior, saying he felt unworthy of His visit. Perhaps he recognized he wasn’t very close to God, yet he firmly believed that Jesus could heal his servant, even from a distance.
Amazed, the Lord declared, “I have not found faith like this man’s in all of Israel.” Immediately, the servant was completely healed.
There are moments in life when our connection with God won’t be ideal. We may feel ashamed to turn back to Him, especially in times of need. But His infinite grace doesn’t depend on our worthiness; it flows from His boundless love.
This officer felt far from God, yet he dared to knock on the door of the heavenly throne, and he was heard.
No matter the distance between us and the Almighty, God’s grace remains an unearned gift. And one day, Jesus might say of us, “I have not found faith like this man’s or this woman’s in the entire world.”

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.”
— Luke 7:9-10
