Jesus said, “Strive to enter through the narrow door of the kingdom of God, for many will try to enter but will fail.
When the master of the house has closed the door, it will be too late. You will be outside, calling and pleading, “Lord, open the door for us,” but he will answer, “I don’t know you, or where you come from.”
For now, the door of the kingdom of God remains open, and many take their time entering. It seems like we have all the time in the world to get in. Some just linger around the door, thinking they are already inside, but as the Lord says, they will fail.
The narrow door is not very popular; it requires effort to enter, discipline to stay on the paths of God, humility to depend on the Savior amidst the temptations of this world. The one who perseveres until the end will be saved.
Some just linger around the door; they are in the same gatherings with Jesus, hear His voice, but do not embrace His teachings. They may appear on the institutional list, but their names are not written in the Book of Life.
On the day of the Lord, there will be many surprises. Let’s make sure to enter through the narrow door and remain faithful. Lest Jesus says to us, “I don’t know you, or where you come from.”

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, “Sir, open the door for us.”
But he will answer, “I don’t know you or where you come from.”
— Luke 13:24-25
