Jesus asked, “What else is the kingdom of God like? It is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a small amount of yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated the entire dough.”
The Lord compares the kingdom of God to yeast. Yeast is a collection of microscopic fungi that induce fermentation in various organic compounds, such as sugars and carbohydrates.
In this fermentation process, various substances and important nutrients for health are obtained. Thanks to yeast, we can make our cakes and breads rise and present that tender and fluffy texture.
With all this information, we almost have the application to today’s message. Let’s sprinkle the nourishing yeast of the kingdom of God on our families and society. Although our contribution may seem microscopic, it will soon spread and yield surprising results.
The yeast of the kingdom of God transforms lives from within, makes individuals and societies stronger, and brings tenderness and warmth to a dehumanized world.
Don’t tire of sprinkling: A small portion will permeate the entire dough.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Again he asked, “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”
— Luke 13:20-21
