What aspect of Jesus captivates you the most? That will strongly influence your life.
One day, Jesus was with his disciples and asked them, “Who do people say I am?” They replied, “Some say you are John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and still others say you are one of the ancient prophets who has come back from the dead.”
Then he asked them, “But what about you? Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Messiah sent by God.”
For many, Jesus is seen only as John the Baptist, a great preacher of wise words. For others, he is like Elijah, a figure performing miracles to restore our lives. And for some, he is an ancient being, resurrected from death, distant from us.
Only Peter got it right by calling him “The Messiah” or “Christ” in Greek, meaning the Anointed One: Someone specially chosen by God to fulfill His plan and purpose.
God’s plan with Jesus is to save humanity from eternal condemnation, and His purpose is to transform lives into new creatures, full of satisfaction in all areas.
If you follow the Messiah, you are following God’s plan and purpose.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say I am?”
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life.”
“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
Peter answered, “God’s Messiah.”
