And Jesus called the crowd to say, “If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with his holy angels.”
We live in an overwhelmingly secular era, where people forge their path and shape their future on their own, without God.
That is what’s considered normal today. What’s rare and often marginalized is the trust that Jesus will always be with us and that God will provide for all our needs.
This dependence on the Creator is now seen by secular society as a remnant of ignorant darkness and a symbol of weakness.
This is a time of mockery and disdain for spirituality. Proclaiming Jesus has never been easy, and the great temptation is to hide our faith out of shame.
Yet, we bear this reproach out of love, knowing that our message is the power of God and can transform lives, even those who mock us.
Let’s not take the scorn personally—they are mocking the Lord, just as they did in biblical times.
Let us not be ashamed to be bearers of the Truth. The God of history calls us to be courageous.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
— Mark 8:38
