Before dawn, Jesus rose and went to a secluded place to pray. Later, His disciples went searching for Him. When they found Him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”
The Lord replied, “We must go on to the other towns, and I will preach there as well, for that is why I have come.”
Notice that Jesus placed a strong emphasis on prayer. The first hour of the morning was essential for being in God’s presence, as all of His activities throughout the day depended on it.
The Lord did not rely solely on His gifts, talents, and personal qualities.
Through His example, He wanted to leave us an important message: the need to seek God and depend fully on His grace to carry out any spiritual or everyday activity.
Later, people came looking for Him, but He never allowed them to interrupt His communion with the Almighty.
In applying this to life, we can conclude that it’s one thing to pursue any project without God, and quite another to make Him a part of what we undertake. The results will be entirely different.
The way to include God in our plans and our daily lives is through prayer.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”
— Mark 1:35-37
