When we gather, we talk about situations, objects, or people. But what we love most is talking about people, either well or poorly; sometimes more poorly than well.
Regarding this, Jesus pointed out: “Why do you worry about the speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?
How can you say, “Friend, let me help you remove the speck from your eye,” when you can’t see past the log in your own eye?
Hypocrite! First, remove the log from your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.”
Can you imagine using that extraordinary ability we have to see other people’s mistakes on ourselves? What tremendous men and women we would become!
Then, we could help people more effectively, coming from the experience of someone who has had the humility to make changes in their own life, someone who does not criticize but seeks the well-being of all.
The first task of a follower of Christ is to let the Holy Spirit work within them. We proclaim the virtues of Him who called us from darkness into His marvelous light.
There is no merit in us to boast about. Therefore, we are not authorized to judge people. We can only extend our hand, look at them with love, and lead them to Jesus.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, “Let me take the speck out of your eye,” when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
— Matthew 7:3-5
