It happened that while Jesus was by the Lake of Gennesaret, a crowd gathered around Him to hear the Word of God.
Entering a boat, which belonged to Simon, He asked him to move it away from the shore a little; and sitting down, He taught the crowd from the boat.
Simon had a generous disposition to share his boat with Jesus and would experience God’s tremendous reward.
When Jesus finished speaking, He told Simon, “Row out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” And when they did, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
Seeing this, Simon fell to his knees in amazement. He had witnessed the power of yielding his resources, time, and eventually his own life for the Kingdom of God.
We all have talents, gifts, possessions, relationships, and opportunities that God has given us to bear fruit. When all of this is placed in the hands of the Lord, the results are incredible. Many will benefit, especially ourselves.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.”
