Jesus gathered his twelve disciples, began sending them out two by two, and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits.
He told them not to take anything for the journey—no food, no bag, no money—only a staff. He allowed them to wear sandals but not to bring an extra shirt.
So, the disciples went out and told everyone to repent of their sins and turn to God.
Missionary work, from the first sending by Jesus, has always been a work of faith. It requires being fully certain of God’s special calling and His provision to fulfill this mission.
The disciples were entrusted to carry the “Good News” and rest in the grace of the Almighty. Our Lord would touch people’s hearts to provide for His missionaries and give them shelter.
That is why every missionary project must be born from God’s heart. When He sends, He delegates His authority, provides, and produces fruit.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Calling the Twelve to him, he began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over impure spirits.
These were his instructions: “Take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in your belts.”
— Mark 6:7-8
