It’s strange, but those of us who believe in an Omnipresent God sometimes behave as if He were not present in what we’re doing.
Precisely when we are doing wrong is when we completely lose awareness that God is there.
Jesus stated, “For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.”
In context, the Lord was referring to those Christians who hide their faith—sometimes out of shyness, sometimes for convenience.
But it is precisely this way of living that leads us to live secret lives, the notorious double life, assuming that God only sees our good deeds and that we can act in darkness “as long as we don’t think about Him.”
Let’s be careful—what we do in secret will one day be brought to light. Can anyone deceive the Almighty?
Let us not doubt our salvation. “How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?” (Hebrews 10:29).

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.”
— Mark 4:22
