“While in Jerusalem, many believed in the name of Jesus because they saw the signs He was performing. But the Lord Himself did not trust them, because He knew all people. He did not need anyone to inform Him about others, for He knew what was inside each person.”
This is a very important aspect of Jesus’ character. He knows the depths of our hearts and can tell when we seek Him only for His favors, signs, and miracles. If we’re honest, we all go through seasons like that.
Despite this, the Lord is always attentive to us, inviting us to take one step further and establish a deep and personal relationship with Him.
Jesus continues to say: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with them, and they with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
We can choose to receive His favors only at the door or let Him into our lives. In Hebrew culture, a meal had a very special meaning. When someone invited you to dine, they were saying, “I want to get to know you better, listen to you, and build a strong friendship.”
That is the invitation the Lord extends to us: not just to have Him as a provider of favors but as a faithful friend and counselor.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name. But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.”
— John 2:23-25
