Is it difficult for you to recognize Jesus as Lord? Is it a constant struggle for you?
Jesus, filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, said, “Oh Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and intelligent and for revealing them to those who are like children. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way.”
It takes humility to recognize Jesus as Lord. But that’s just the beginning: Then comes living under God’s revelation. This involves receiving His teachings and understanding His purposes in every situation.
For this, we need to be poor in spirit, seeking His guidance every day, like a child clinging tightly to the hand of their Father.
This sounds great, but the reality is that we love being wise and intelligent. We tend to question God and correct Him whenever we don’t like His will. Some days we are meek, and some days we are stubborn. That’s why we wander lost, without direction.
We need to become like children again, as in the beginning: not questioning His authority, saying yes to all His purposes, and fully resting in His will. Only then will we receive all of God’s revelation for our lives.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.”
— Luke 10:21
