Jesus continued teaching His disciples to pray by saying: “Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
The Lord’s desire is for the kingdom of God to come into each of our lives. The first message that Jesus communicated in this world was: “The kingdom of God has come near to you,” referring to Himself.
Through prayer, our most fervent aspiration should be for the kingdom of God, which is Jesus Himself, to take control of our hearts, our emotions, our aspirations, and our crucial decisions.
Only in this way can we fulfill the second part of this beautiful life plan: That God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Does this annul our own personality? Definitely not. Every morning we must make the free, voluntary, and well-thought-out decision to associate our life with that of Jesus.
There is no better counselor than the Savior, no better investment than merging our will with God’s will. The results are guaranteed, and an abundant life awaits us.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
