Jesus arrived with two more disciples at Peter’s house. It turned out that his mother-in-law was bedridden with a high fever, and they immediately told the Savior about it.
He approached the bed, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. Then the fever left her, and she prepared a meal for them.
Something that Jesus really liked was meeting people in their own environment, in their own homes. There, we truly manifest ourselves as we are, without any pretense.
When the Lord arrived at Peter’s house, he didn’t just arrive at his disciple’s house but at the very center of all his experiences.
There, he could understand him much better by knowing what was happening in his family environment. By healing his mother-in-law, the anxiety disappeared, and the peace of God could now manifest itself throughout the house.
It all began with a simple visit, and God took care of the agenda.
Meeting people in their family context will help us understand and assist them better. We will be able to reach all members directly or indirectly with the message of salvation. Likewise, it opens up the opportunity to respond to their specific needs.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.”
— Mark 1:29-31
