Have you ever felt discouraged and thought that God doesn’t hear your prayers?
Jesus addressed this issue by saying: “There was a judge in a certain city who neither feared God nor respected people.
There was also a widow in that city who kept coming to him, pleading: “Grant me justice against my adversary.”
For a while, he refused, but later he said to himself: “Even though I neither fear God nor respect people, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will grant her justice so that she won’t eventually wear me out with her continual coming.”
This is the story of a judge who, despite being unjust, ends up responding to the widow’s request because of her persistence and perseverance. The comparison that follows is conclusive:
“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
Every unjust situation leads to a cry for help. Every cry must be channeled into a prayer. Every prayer should be offered with conviction and persistence. The entire process requires faith and patience, but soon it will receive an answer from the Sovereign Judge.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
— Luke 18:7-8
