What is God’s place, and what is my place? Are we on the same level?
Jesus taught His disciples to pray, saying: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.”
The first thing the Lord wanted to instill in His followers was the concept that God is in heaven. From there, from His glorious throne, He orchestrates and channels all the events that happen in human history, and of course, in our personal history.
From His throne in heaven, He has an elevated view of what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen in our lives. Therefore, it is foolish to stop listening to His warnings and advice, and instead prefer our own obtuse and limited vision.
Also, the Savior teaches us to hallow God’s name in this world. But how can we make God holier than He already is? Obviously, this is not referring to His essence, but to His name, to His reputation before humanity.
People will come to know God through us. Let us honor the Lord who is in heaven and defend His good name and effectiveness with better examples of life.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
— Luke 11:2
