Have you ever felt deeply let down by someone? Have you found yourself used by people and then cast aside? It’s very sad to say, but it’s because they didn’t love you.
Nowadays, people move frantically in a relentless race to achieve their personal goals.
In the midst of this climate of disloyalty and lovelessness, Jesus exclaimed: “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. But the hired hand, who is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and abandons the sheep and flees, because he does not care about the sheep.”
Jesus presents himself as the good shepherd, the one who will be with us at all times to guide us, advise us, encourage us, and restore us. No one loves us like He does, for only He was capable of dying for us.
All others, with good or mediocre intentions, will not be able to satisfy the deepest longing of our hearts.
Let’s not place vital hopes in people. They, like us, are imperfect beings and tend to fail.
Let’s place all our expectations in Christ. He is the faithful friend who never fails. We will never be let down by Him, and we will enjoy the emotional balance necessary to live.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.”
— John 10:11-13
