Leaving that region, they traveled through Galilee. Jesus did not want anyone to know He was there because He wanted to spend more time with His disciples and teach them.
He had a dual concern: the lost sheep without God and the deep preparation of His disciples in spiritual truths.
In truth, this dual concern of the Savior remains relevant in our days. He is not only concerned with our salvation but also with our foundation in faith, so that we can be sent as His ambassadors to the world.
Jesus longs to spend more time with His disciples and teach them. After salvation, we must learn to set aside special times to be alone with God and in study groups to learn more about His Word.
The Lord’s desire is to reproduce His virtues in new disciples, who are faithful and able to teach others as well.
Join this chain of discipleship: find someone to disciple you and find someone to disciple.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17).

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“They left that place and passed through Galilee. Jesus did not want anyone to know where they were, because he was teaching his disciples.”
— Mark 9:30-31
