We always hear that God loves us, and that is an unquestionable truth. But how much do we love God and His son Jesus?

We know that love is not just a matter of feelings. It involves considering the other person in our minds and requires investing time to cultivate a deeper relationship.

Jesus was very emphatic when He stated: “If you love me, keep my commandments. He who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Thus, loving God translates into obedience. And going a bit further: No one will be able to obey God if they do not know what He wants for us. The only way to know His will is by reading that precious love letter, which is His Word.

To love God is to obey Him, but we will only come to obey Him from the heart out of love by knowing Him more.
