Jesus was entering a village when ten men with leprosy met him. They called out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.”
He replied, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.
Then one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned, glorifying God with a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet, thanking him.
The Savior then said, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?”
This story reminds us of a constant reality: we are quick to ask but slow to thank. Sometimes we reduce our relationship with God to a list of requests, neglecting the reasons to thank Him.
In life, we can walk with gratitude towards God or be bitter about what we think we didn’t receive. Practicing gratitude is good for us physically and emotionally. Moreover, it puts us in an expectant position for blessings.
“Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.” (Psalm 50:23).

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
— Luke 17:17-19
