Jesus shared a story: “The land of a rich man produced abundantly. And he thought to himself, saying: What shall I do, for I have no place to store my crops?
And he said: I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul: Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.”
The story of this rich man reveals the way our society thinks.
For this man, the solution to his excess crops was to enlarge his barns. For others, the solution to their excess clothing is to buy a bigger wardrobe. And for some, the solution to their excess food is to devour everything before it spoils.
The truth is that God never gives us more than we need; He provides exactly what we need. The Lord does not give us fruits that will spoil, clothes that will mold, or excessive food that will make us sick.
God is so good that He supplies our needs and gives us the wonderful opportunity to share with others. We are blessed to be a blessing. We receive God’s mercy to be merciful to others.
Look around you and change the scene of pain for a smile.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, “What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.”
Then he said, “This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”
— Luke 12:16-19
