Some ideological currents claim that to prove the existence of God, it must be done in a rational manner. That is, if something cannot be understood by the mind, then it is likely that it does not exist.
For centuries, this way of thinking was upheld with great intellectual pride.
Everything was going well until the discovery of microorganisms and elements imperceptible to the senses. It turns out they were already there, but no one had comprehended them with the mind.
Jesus referred to this type of intellectuals when He prayed: «Oh, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think they are wise and intelligent, and for revealing them to those who are like children.»
God had no problem with intellect. The problem was intellect plus pride: that separates us from God. In contrast, those who are like children possess intellect plus humility: that makes them participants in God’s revelation.
Intellect is not at odds with spiritual life; on the contrary, the Scriptures exhort us to present ourselves to God with rational worship. Our understanding must be renewed by the Word of God to fully enjoy His pleasing and perfect will.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children”.
