Do we take the initiative to know God more, or do we wait for the Father’s initiative to reveal Himself to us?
Jesus stated, “My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son decides to reveal Him.”
From a theological standpoint, we can learn more about God by studying the aspects of His person. But from an experiential and transcendental perspective, it is God who reveals Himself to us, chooses us, and transforms us to fulfill His eternal purposes.
After knowing Jesus, no initiative excludes the other. God loves it when we show interest in knowing Him more, when we delve into the Scriptures with passion to learn more about His character, and thus learn to please Him better.
His reward will be to reveal Himself more and more to us in all His intensity, like the sun gradually appearing on the horizon, and at noon positioning itself above us to radiate us with all its power.
The Lord says, “Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:12-13).

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
