When Jesus walked through the streets, people brought their children to Him to be touched and blessed. The disciples didn’t understand the situation; they thought the little ones were just causing disorder and tried to keep them away.
The Master corrected their attitude: “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14).
This statement surprised the disciples. In those times, children were considered an inferior category, officially without rights, and incapable of making decisions.
Jesus gave a new value to childhood in His time and even set them as an example by saying, “Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
The Lord was referring to those precious virtues that a child possesses: their faith, sincerity, humility, and desire for protection.
Perhaps we have been losing that over the years. Life and its hardships harden us to the point where we have buried the hopeful child within us. That’s why it’s hard for us to believe in God, we question Him, and we are inconsistent in His ways.
Maybe it’s a good time to reclaim the heart of a child that we left behind, run and embrace God unconditionally, like when we were free, and fully enjoy His Kingdom.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
