Carrying His cross, Jesus went out to the place called the Skull. There they crucified Him, and with Him, two others.
When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, here is your son.” Then He said to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” And from that hour, the disciple took her into his home.
Even in the agony of the cross, Jesus was concerned about the care of His mother. He not only cared about her material needs but also her spiritual growth.
That is why He entrusted her to the best man He had, His beloved disciple. Who better than him to care for her with such love and to tell her the incredible stories and teachings of the Savior?
The final result is seen after Jesus’ death: In the upper room of Jerusalem, all the disciples were united in prayer, along with the women, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and His brothers.
Let’s reserve quality time to care for our parents. They taught us to walk; we can teach them the way, the truth, and the life in Jesus Christ.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.”
