Why is there so much suffering in the world? Do people have the freedom to choose?
Jesus sent his disciples, telling them: “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
The great harvest is imminent, but there is a lack of workers. The servants that God provides look exhausted, worn out from the double work they perform. And it’s not that there are no Christians; what is lacking are workers.
Understand the word “Christians” as followers of Christ, heirs of God’s promises, who must be spiritually and morally trained until they become “Workers” in the Kingdom of God.
It is in this transition where we are failing. We are settling for people to establish themselves as “Christians” and letting their aspiration to become “Workers” lull to sleep.
That is why we have a great deficit. It is not enough to pray, but also to disciple. Let us not wait for the Local Church to create a discipleship program; let us make the decision to disciple someone and support them until they become a worker.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
— Luke 10:1-2
