In the world, there is a constant struggle between good and evil. But are they equal forces in power?
When Jesus arrived in the region of Gadara, as He was getting off the boat, a man possessed by demons came to meet Him.
As soon as he saw Jesus, he fell to the ground in front of Him and cried out, “Why are you interfering with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Please, I beg you, do not torture me!”
There are several points to observe here: First, it is not a one-on-one battle; it is many demons against Jesus. Second, they recognize the high authority of the Savior as the Son of the Most High God. And third, they beg Him not to torture them.
This is not a battle of equals in hierarchy. Rather, it is entirely clear that Jesus is the Lord, and even the demons believe and tremble.
Therefore, we should move forward with confidence, for “Greater is He who is with us than he who is in this world.”

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!”
— Luke 8:27-28
