Once resurrected, Jesus appeared among his disciples and said to them, “Peace to you.” Then, frightened and terrified, they thought they were seeing a spirit.
And Jesus, referring to himself, added, “It was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead on the third day; and for repentance and forgiveness of sins to be preached in his name to all nations.”
We can highlight that the first thing the Lord imparted to his disciples was his peace. It was obvious that they were not only gathered to pray, but they were isolated out of fear.
They had been instructed by Jesus himself for nearly three years. What they did not know is that they had been instructed to become stronger, to face all kinds of crises, including the physical absence of their own leader.
From that moment on, they entered a new stage: the stage of faith. They would no longer see their Master in a tangible way; now they would have to believe that He would be with them every day.
At first, they lost their peace when they experienced the absence of the Lord, and then they regained it with his presence.
Since then, the same thing happens to all of us: Whenever we are restless, nervous, and insecure, with certainty, we have distanced ourselves slightly or noticeably from the Master.

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost.”
— Luke 24:36-37
