A family father pleaded with Jesus: “Teacher, I brought my son to be healed by you. Have mercy on us and help us if you can.”
“What do you mean, “if I can”?” Jesus asked. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the father cried out, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
What a sincere and revealing expression! This family father believed in the power of Jesus, but his logical and rational mind prevented him from receiving the miracle.
Indeed, there are three types of disbelief: The disbelief that denies any action beyond the senses.
There is also the disbelief that prevents us from delving deeper into the knowledge of God for fear of His demands.
And there is also the disbelief of one who is resentful towards God, considering that He did not help in a time of need.
That day, Jesus performed two miracles in one act: He restored the health of the boy and eradicated the disbelief of his father forever.
And in your case, what type of disbelief prevents you from deepening your relationship with God?

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“If you can?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
