As Jesus approached Jerusalem riding on a donkey, many in the crowd spread their garments on the road before him, while others cut down branches and spread them out.
Jesus was at the center of the procession, and the people shouted, “Praise God! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Praise God in highest heaven!”
The crowd was filled with excitement. Jesus was the center of everyone’s attention. His miracles and wonders were widely known.
What’s strange is that the same city that praised him on his entry demanded his crucifixion during the Passover celebration.
While Jesus blessed them with his miracles, the people hailed him. But when he challenged them to change their lives and live by his commandments, they called for his death.
Doesn’t that generation resemble today’s generation?

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
— Mark 11:8-10
